SMALL CLAIMS COURT HEARINGS - DEBTOR EXAMINATION HEARINGS

In Small Claims Court a creditor may request an examination hearing if there is a default under an order for the payment or recovery of money.  An examination of the debtor takes place under oath.  The court and the creditor are provided information with respect to the debtor's financial situation.  The public is NOT allowed to attend these proceedings unless ordered otherwise by the court.
